Key cases or achievements
Whilst working as Martin Coyne’s (Director at Ralli Solicitors) PA in 2003, we took on a case where our client was run over by a bus outside the NEC in Birmingham. He worked as an international dog judge for Crufts – the world’s largest dog show – but lived in Sweden. The accident left him severely injured which resulted in disability and substantial pain. We travelled to Sweden regularly to take instructions from the client to progress his case, which was valued at a seven figure sum in compensation. This case really did have a big impact on me, and I gained a lot of experience and satisfaction from seeing what we did to save the man’s life (those words are the client’s), and get him mobile again following his unfortunate accident. We initially saw the client lying in a hospital bed in Gothenburg due to the extent of his injuries. We worked tirelessly to bring a doctor over from England to manage his treatment and rehabilitation; which eventually improved his health, wellbeing and mobility, allowing him to go home after a period of 22 months in hospital.
