Martin is Ralli Solicitors’ Managing Director. He has been with the firm for over 37 years, qualifying as a solicitor in 1981. Prior to becoming Managing Director, Martin was Head of the Personal Injury Department for the firm from 1999.
He is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and Chair of the Access to Justice (A2J Ltd) organisation seeking to persuade the government to think again regarding the 2015 Autumn Statement proposals.
In November 2002 he became one of the first investor founders and shareholders of Injury Lawyers 4U, and for over 10 years he has achieved significant board level experience in the PCC reinsurance industry.
Martin co-authored a book published by Manchester University Press; entitled “Living with Head Injury” in the early 1990’s and has lectured on the Manchester Law Society Personal Injury Diploma Course, supported by Manchester Metropolitan University. Over the course of his career, he has also lectured to the Bar and other firms of solicitors on personal injury litigation.
He is also a regular speaker at professional seminars and national conferences on personal injury.
Martin has been a Trustee of BASIC for nearly ten years, and is committed to the work of the charity in helping rebuild lives following acquired brain injury.
Martin is passionate about providing access to justice for all, and regularly campaigns against the government’s justice reforms and legislative changes to safeguard the rights of injured victims.

Why did you join Ralli Solicitors?
After months of unemployment, in April 1979 I was offered a job as an Articled Clerk, at a time when it was difficult to gain employment, following completion of the Law Society Finals Examinations.

- Arranging urgent medical assistance for an injured Swedish client in Gothenburg, which saved his life after 22 months hospitalisation. Ergonomically redesigning his home and providing him with 10 years extra on this earth, enabling him to enjoy the marriage of his children and the birth of grandchildren. Recovering 7-figure compensation for him.
- I achieved the highest ever compensation award in the UK for a nurse with a work related back injury.
